Firefly
Brent Berry
A fresh collection of folk rock ballads and jump blues.
Firefly. I used to catch them one at a time and put them in a mason jar on summer nights. Enjoying their sweet light through the night and setting them free in the morning. This collection of songs is a bit like that. Glad I caught them. And even happier to set them free. Made in the winter of 2014 in Taos, New Mexico with Peter Oviatt on banjo and guitar, Giles Shelton on upright bass, Dan Irion on mandolin and Sarah Martinez on guitar as well.

Monsoon
Brent Berry & Honest Abe
Afro-Coastal Americana-Grass Music for the soul. The first of the New Mexico records made at 5th Sun studios. And the marker of change for Brent's move to more world music and dance compositions, great with coffee of dark beer.
From Lawrence, Kansas to Long Island, New York, St.John,Virgin Islands to Taos, New Mexico Brent has performed with legendary acts such as the Slackers, Hepcat, The Skatalites, Wailing Souls, Mad Professor, Sizzla, Boom Shaka, Luciano, and Toots and The Maytals, King Django, Sister Carol and Ritchie Havens. Moving to Taos ,New Mexico in the fall of 2002, Brent began work on a new group. Finding faith in the fingers of producer/bass player Jack Wilson, the old tyme sound of dobro and guitar of James Rann, and the fine mandolin of Dan Irion and sweet harmony and percussion of Kirry Nelson. "Monsoon" ,the debut release of " Brent Berry & Honest Abe" was made in 2004. A new chapter in in Brent's sonwriting began. " Afro-Coastal Americana-Grass",kicking the walls down into a new genre, expect nothin but fine things from these young musicians in the future
