A gritty roots rock and reggae release for 2016
The Surge. Going back to the Roots Rock and Reggae with contemporary edge and power!
A fresh collection of folk rock ballads and jump blues.
Firefly. I used to catch them one at a time and put them in a mason jar on summer nights. Enjoying their sweet light through the night and setting them free in the morning. This collection of songs is a bit like that. Glad I caught them. And even happier to set them free. Made in the winter of 2014 in Taos, New Mexico with Peter Oviatt on banjo and guitar, Giles Shelton on upright bass, Dan Irion on mandolin and Sarah Martinez on guitar as well.
Brent Berry Band
The 2008 "Afro-Coastal" sound by the Brent Berry Band. Hot tunes for the hips and signature BB song writing make this one for any collector of original world-beat and folk music.
Brent kicks a bass drum while playing a guitar, blowing a harp and singing or shouting about love and war. Songs about old ships and giving to much to the oars, street lights and snowy nights. Switching styles and language's as the night people give up their colors. Moving to Taos ,New Mexico in the fall of 2002, Brent began work on a new group.
